Correct Your Recitation with Tajweed
Almighty Allah says:
…and recite the Qur’an with measured recitation. (Al-Muzzammil 73:4)
In another verse:
Those to whom We have given the Book recite it with its true recital. They [are the ones who] believe in it. (Al-Baqarah 2:121)
Welcome to a new interesting episode of “Correct Your Recitation” series with Sheikh Muhammad Salah and his guests. First Sheikh Isma`il recites from verse 25 of Surat Al-Mulk (the Sovereignty) to the end of the Surah and the first verses of Surat Al-Qalam (The Pen).
In this episode, Dr. Muhammad Salah continues his explanation to Surat Al-Mulk. The verses talk about the warning of the Prophet (peace be upon him) to the unbelievers who resist the message of Islam. Allah grants man opportunities until the moment of his death. Once he dies and starts his life in the Hereafter, however, feeling regret is no longer of any use. Allah Almighty says:
Indeed, We have warned you of a near punishment on the Day when a man will observe what his hands have put forth and the disbeliever will say, “Oh, I wish that I were dust!” (An-Naba’ 78:40)
As usual, Dr. Muhammad Salah continues his explanation to the rules of tajweed. He talks in detail about two characteristics of the letters that are Shidah (explosive) and Rakhawah (softness).
Enjoy watching and learning the best effective ways to understand and recite the Qur’an perfectly.
