Everyone commits sins and does mistakes and wrongs, but Almighty Allah is always willing to forgive and give His slaves the chance to repent and seek His forgiveness. A Muslim should always keep in mind the fact that Allah is Allah is so forgiving.
In this regard, Sheikh Nouman Ali Khan reflects on some verses from Surat Al-Furqan (the 25th chapter of the Qur’an with 77 verses) to make clear that there is no sin, however great, that cannot be forgiven if sincerely repented.
Almighty Allah says:
And those who do not invoke with Allah another deity or kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty. (Al-Furqan 25:68)
Allah has threatened those who commit shirk, murder, and zina (illegitimate sexual intercourse) with double punishment on the Day of Judgment except those who turn back to Allah and do good deeds.
