The Qur’an is the word of Allah revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). It is preserved in the hearts of Muslims. Allah says:
But no, [this Qur’an] is a revelation that is clear to the hearts of those endowed with knowledge. No one refuses to acknowledge Our revelations but the evildoers. (Al-`Ankabut 29: 49)
Allah has spoken it and transmitted it to Gabriel who conveyed it to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). It is an undeniable fact in the Islamic creed that Qur’an is the word of Allah and not of anyone else.
